InfinityX – Gboard Returns to GApps Builds – Bootloop Issue Resolved!

We’re happy to announce that the Gboard bootloop issue in GApps builds has finally been investigated and resolved. After thorough testing, Gboard has now been safely re-included in GApps builds, officially replacing the AOSP keyboard.

Starting with builds dated 07/04/2025 and onwards, Gboard will come pre-installed in all GApps variants by default.

⚠️ Important Notice for Dirty Flashers

Switching from an older AOSP Keyboard build to Gboard via dirty flash may result in a “no keyboard” issue or force-close errors.

To avoid this, here are two simple workarounds:

  1. Flash this Gboard Addon ZIP in recovery before flashing the new build: 🔗 Download ZIP
  2. Still seeing keyboard issues after flashing?
Just flash the same ZIP again in recovery and it will be resolved.

✅ This method works even for v2.6 GApps users—you can flash the zip to instantly switch to Google Keyboard and override AOSP keyboard without clean flashing.

TL;DR: Gboard is back, stable, and now the default. Clean flash is ideal, but a quick recovery flash of the linked ZIP will fix dirty flash issues too.

Stay updated and flash smart!
