Project Mica has officially released its first Android 16 QPR1 build for the Poco F3 / Mi 11X (alioth). This update brings the long-awaited QPR1 base to the device, offering an early look at Android’s latest quarterly platform improvements. However, the developer clearly states that this is not recommended for daily use just yet.
What’s New in This Release
This release is an initial AOSP-based bring-up of QPR1, focusing mainly on getting the new platform booting and functional on the alioth series.

Known Issues

- Custom kernels are not supported yet
- No AOSP recovery available
- OFOX flashing required, but do not reflash OFOX after installation
If you’re thinking about using this as a daily driver — don’t. This release is mainly for testers, developers, and users who simply want to try QPR1 early.

Flashing Instructions (Important)
Follow these instructions as provided by the maintainer:
- Boot into OFOX Recovery
- Wipe: Dalvik/ART Cache, Data, Metadata
- Flash the Project Mica QPR1 ROM
- Do NOT reflash OFOX afterward
- Reboot
- For root access, install Apatch
Important Notes
- Initial Android 16.0 QPR1 build
- GApps included
- Use recommended firmware from official Poco F3 channel
- Kernel changes are not allowed — wait for kernel devs to add QPR support
- Early release; expect some instability
